Ella's Dance Recital

Ella had her end of the year dance recital and she was of course the cutest little dancer up there! She did a great job and she really loves dancing. She asked me if we could bring her flowers again, like we did last year. So Mike made sure to buy the prettiest bouquet he could find and Ella loved showing us all of her hard work  for the past few months. It was a great recital!

Hunter's 5th Birthday

Hunter turned 5 and he was so excited for his special day. First he brought cookies for all of his class mates at school. Then when he came home we had pizza for dinner and the chocolate cake he requested. He also told me that he wanted all of his decorations to be from the avengers and he wanted balloons everywhere. I think he was very pleased when he walked through the door.
After dinner Hunter got to open his presents. Everything he wanted this year came from things he sees on commercials. He wanted a Stuffie, a small ice cream maker, and slippers that stomp around. He was the most excited to get a stuffie and I think all of his birthday wishes were fulfilled.
He had a great birthday and a very special celebration.

Easter 2013

This Easter was really nice and the kids loved every minute of the whole weekend. We went to an Easter egg hunt on Saturday and the kids got some awesome prizes in their eggs. Ella got 20 tokens for the arcade and hunter got a grab bag of candy! Later on Sunday morning the kids got to look for their baskets and search for more eggs. This year the Easter bunny left little coupons in their eggs instead of candy, that they can trade in for things like staying up late and picking out their own dinner. Hunter loved this and used almost every coupon in the span of two days! It was way better than a bunch of candy, and I am sure our dentist will thank me one day.
After the kids finished the hunt we went to church and then came home to have a nice family dinner. The kids also loved that I brought out the fancy dishes and had an Easter center piece. I realized maybe we should be a little more fancy once in a while, especially now that the kids are at an age they can appreciate it more.
Overall it was a really peaceful and enjoyable weekend.

Gwen's Blessing

We blessed Gwen a few weeks ago and we were very lucky to have so many of our family and friends present. It was a great day and a wonderful weekend catching up with loved ones.

Ella's Seventh Birthday Party!

Ella chose to have a "slumber party" themed birthday. Her friends came over and had pizza and cupcakes. Then they watched a movie in their pajama's and got to get their hair braided. Ella had a great time and loved having all of her friends over.
