I Love This Kid!

These are my recent favorite pics so I thought I would share them with everyone.
I Just love this baby! He is so cute and he loves to laugh and smile all day long. Every time I see his cute smile it just brightens my day.
His new favorite thing is to stick out his tongue, I think he does it as a way to communicate and interact with us, but we call him "baby Kiss". ( I love this picture)

7,O, a heart, and E

The other day when I was getting Ella dressed she looked down at her shirt and said, "look mama 7, O, a heart, and E". I got a kick out of that and I had to document it.

A Good Laugh!

Since my last entry was a little intense, I thought I would give everyone a little comic relief! I found this funny website that I still can't tell if it is real or not, but none-the-less, it should bring a chuckle. Enjoy!
P.S. Are those girls for real? Their facial expressions crack me up!

Get The Message Out! Bill 1738

Hi Everyone,
I have had a few people who have been interested in copying the blog about bill 1728, so I thought I would create a template that has a lot of information that anyone can copy and use for their blog. Also this can be used for a group email. Anyway I hope this will inspire everyone to write their Senator and to get the message out!
The Internet can sometimes seem like the Wild West for child predators—a place that largely operates outside the law. While trading in pedophile pornography is illegal, lack of adequate funding means law enforcement officials are able to investigate just 2 percent of their leads. And, according to Interpol statistics, only one-half of 1 percent are ever prosecuted.

"What you are going to see is going to shock you to the core, but I'm asking you to please don't turn away," Oprah says, "because this is happening in our country to our children in the United States every day."

The map behind Oprah shows how quickly one pornographic image of a child being molested can spread. It starts with the large red dot from a computer in Washington, D.C. Within 24 hours, it has spread all across the United States—from coast to coast and north to south. "This is just an average day in America—24 hours," Oprah says.

The demand for new videos and photos is so high that authorities report tracking increasingly brutal pornography with younger and younger victims.
Hundreds of thousands of children are victims of sexual abuse each year. Due to the sheer lack of resources, law enforcement is unable to follow up on the majority of leads they have.

The PROTECT Our Children Act will:

Authorize over $320 million over the next five years in desperately needed funding for law enforcement to investigate child exploitation.
Mandate that child rescue be a top priority for law enforcement receiving federal funding.
Allocate funds for high-tech computer software that can track down Internet predators.
Act Now!
Your U.S. senators will be voting on the bill soon, so it is crucial you contact them immediately.
Go to www.senate.gov to find contact information for the senators in your state. Search for your senator by name or state by clicking on the arrow from either dropdown menu. Contact information is provided here. To send an e-mail, click on "Web Form" below his or her name, and e-mail your letter to make a difference!

"For once, you and I can do something about it!" Oprah says.

Bill 1738 Protect Our Children

I don't usually write blogs like this, but I just watched an episode of Oprah that has me truly disgusted and horrified. Anyway I won't go too much into what the episode was about, but the main idea was about protecting our children from child predators and internet predators. There is new technology and software that can catch any predator who uses the internet as a tool. The problem has been that there is not enough funding to do anything about it. Well now there is a bill that if passed will create this funding and actually make a difference.
The great thing is there is something we can do! Follow this link and it will give you a lot more information about this bill and a letter that you can email to your Senator. I just did it and it is really easy.
Also I figure that if these guys are going to use the internet for their own purposes, than we can use it to fight back! So if you feel inspired send an email out, or post a blog, DO SOMETHING! We only have a month to get this bill passed...

"You're Not A Blond, You Don't Understand"

Okay so for anyone who questions what my real hair color is (which I do because I could not actually remember) this picture should clear it up. This was taken before my hair had ever seen a foil and as you can see my sisters are also pretty blond! As Amy Poehler says in Baby Mama, "You're not a blond, you don't understand..... I was blond as a child". If you have not seen this movie yet it is great, and that scene almost had me in tears I was laughing so hard (I can't tell you how many times my sisters and I have had this conversation).

P.S. I am sorry that you had to see me in my 12- year- old awkward stage, it is not pretty!
