Bear World and Mesa Falls

My cousins who live near us decided to take some visiting family to Bear World, so we decided to tag a long. It was fun to go with a big group and Ella loved playing with all of the kids. First you drive through the park and you see all of the different wildlife. There are Bison, Elk, Wolves, and of course Bears. Then once you get through the park you get to go to the visitors center where there is much more to do and see. First we got to see the baby cubs playing with each other and then we got to feed the ducks and fish at the little pond. After that we went inside the petting zoo where you can feed little goats and deer and it is so cute for the kids to get up close to the animals and feed them. Then after all of that there are still rides that the kids can go on. I love Bear world because it is just the right size for my little kids.
After Bear World we went to Big Judd's for lunch. It is a place that has burgers and malts but these are no ordinary burgers, they are about the size of a pie tin or dinner plate and they are HUGE!
We finished the day off with a trip to Mesa Falls which is a beautiful area that has two waterfalls and some places to walk around. (sorry there are no pictures for this)
It was a great day!

Thanks Disney

The other day I told Ella it was time to do her chores (make her bed, brush her teeth, etc.) and she replied, " You are the meanest step muddher ever." Thanks Disney!

4th Of July: BBQ And Fireworks

Later that day we had a BBQ at my parent's house with lots of yummy food and good company. Once it got dark we had a fantastic firework show thanks to the men of the family. These guys crossed the border into Wyoming to buy a massive amount of what we now call "professional grade" fireworks otherwise known as illegal and they gave us a good 30 minute show (Mike was in heaven). Ella had a great time waving around the sparklers and watching the show and we all enjoyed the great celebration.

4th Of July: Parade

After our breakfast we headed over to the local parade. I think they did a really good job and they had everything from a giant shopping cart float to old fashioned tractors coming down the street, and there was no shortage of candy or treats being passed out (we even got chocolate milk and otter pops). The best part about the parade was seeing Ella on a float with her dance class. She got to wave and pass out candy to everyone and it was just too cute!

4th Of July: Pancake Breakfast

Pancake Breakfast:
We started our morning with our 2nd annual Pancake Breakfast. This is where we all go to the local diner and have a big breakfast really early in the morning! It is fun and it is a good way to start the busy day off with full stomachs.

Fishing And The Rodeo

Around here 4th of July is not a one day celebration, it is not even a weekend celebration, it is really more of a lifestyle. The summers are so great and the weather is so perfect you just can't help treat everyday like a vacation. So to help kick off this 4th we spent Friday fishing and then went to the rodeo later that night.
This is my dad teaching Ella how to fish
They caught one trout and a "sucker"
Both kids were really excited about seeing the fish.
Trying to keep Hunter on the dock was stressful! This kid cannot sit still.
This was a fun day despite the bugs and Hunter's constant scares with the water!

In the evening we went to the rodeo

These girls are called the Americano's and they opened the Rodeo with this cool show.

I think Ella thought she was on a date with her prince!
There was bareback riding, bull riding, and lots of other events.
The kids had a good time and I know they loved seeing all of the horses and Rodeo "princesses"!
