
2 ripe bananas, mashed (Black are the best)
2 cups old fashion rolled oats
1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries, chopped
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/3 apple sauce
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
Mash bananas in large bowl.Add oats, dried cranberries, white chocolate chips, cinnamon, apple sauce and vanilla.Mix till combined. Place in fridge for 15 minutes till set. Preheat oven to 350F.Grease 9 inch glass pan. Spread evenly in pan. Bake for 20 minutes, till golden brown around edges and center.Let cool, release from pan on to cookie rack. Let cool completely in refrigerator.
This recipe was kind of disappointing, it was really easy and very healthy, but they didn't taste right. They definitely don't taste like granola bars that we are used to, plus the banana taste was pretty overwhelming. I really want to find a great healthy granola bar because my kids love them so much it would be great to be able to make them.

A friend of mine was recently telling me that she makes homemade granola bars too! Sounds delicious!
