Mike and I have been married for eight years and we have three children. Ella is the oldest and she is the little mother to her siblings. She is so sweet and kind and I feel blessed everyday to have a great kid like her in my life. Hunter is our second, and he is all boy! He loves baseball and spider man, and overall he just makes us laugh and keeps us on our toes. Lily is our third child and she is the sweetest little spirit. She never complains and I honestly feel that she is just so happy to be here and be a part of our family. Both Hunter and Lily have some special needs, which has made our life a little more unpredictable and emotional, but we are dealing with all of the curve balls that life has thrown our way and we are still managing to find happiness and joy.
After we received Lily's diagnosis, amidst the pain and grief, I felt inspired to use this little blog of mine as a way to share with others what we are going through; the good, the bad, the fun, and the heartache! I truly believe that reaching out to others and creating a support system has been one of the greatest ways I have been able to find peace and comfort. I hope for those of you out there, stumbling upon my blog, learning now that you have a child with special needs, that you will find that same comfort here, you will know that you are not alone and that every feeling you have is normal.
I hope for those who may not feel they can relate, but maybe going through other challenges and heartache, will also find support here too! I know for myself that there have been so many other blogs out there that have helped me. So if my story reaches one other person and can make a difference in one life, then I will have felt this is all worth it.
